Total time used exceeds the limits set

Whitelist, overrides, and the parent PIN are not counted the way people expect. OEM battery kills also under-report.

Usually one of these:

OEM killed the child app. Then our clock is wrong. Fix battery first: Xiaomi / Oppo / Vivo / Samsung / Huawei articles. Dead reporting looks like "they used more than I allowed" when compared to Family Link.
Counting rules. Whitelisted apps, system apps, and parent overrides are not added to the cap total. The dashboard "overall" can be higher than the limit you set for Games only.
They know the PIN. Time still records; limits do not apply.
Screen recorders / overlay apps steal accessibility events. Turn off "draw over other apps" for those.

Do not uninstall to recalibrate. Stopped working.
