AI Shield vs Screen Mirror vs Gallery

Three different capture products. AI Shield is alerts only. Screen Mirror is session screenshots. Gallery is the camera roll.

These are not the same feature. Buying the wrong one is the usual complaint.

Which to pick

  • You want to be pinged when something looks wrong, not scroll all day → AI Shield.
  • You want to reconstruct a WhatsApp or Snapchat session → Screen Mirror.
  • You want the photos they took → Gallery.

AI Shield does not replace Screen Mirror. The AI Shield article is honest about that: you only see suspicious events.

Android 15: Screen Mirror currently hides notification text on the child's phone. Workaround.
